Summer time is just about here so here are some good tips for taking care of your skin and looking your best all summer long.
- Unsurprisingly the first item on the list is wear sunscreen! You don't have to wear the highest SPF available because sunscreens only last for about an hour and a half before you need to reapply. Don't be worried that wearing sunscreen will keep you from getting tanned. Sunscreen is meant to keep you from getting burned, which is not only uncomfortable but also unsafe for your skin.
Don't just rely on clothing as cover. Experts say the average clothing only provides an SPF of 8, which means you still might get burned under your clothes.
Make sure you get all the little spots of your body with sunscreen. I routinely forget about my part in my hair and have gotten sunburned there. Trust me, it is really hard to pull off a cute hairdo when your scalp hurts from a sunburn!
